Indian Air Force AFCAT 01/2026 – Apply Online for 340 Officer Posts

The Indian Air Force has released the AFCAT 01/2026 notification for recruiting 340 Commissioned Officers in Flying Branch, Ground Duty (Technical), Ground Duty (Non-Technical), and NCC Special Entry.
Online applications start from 17 November 2025 and end on 14 December 2025. The AFCAT exam will be conducted on 31 January 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Flying Branch

  • Graduation in any discipline with Maths & Physics at 10+2 level
    OR

  • B.E / B.Tech

Ground Duty (Technical)

  • B.E / B.Tech in relevant engineering disciplines

Ground Duty (Non-Technical)

  • Graduation / Post-Graduation in relevant subjects
    (Administration, Logistics, Accounts, Education, Meteorology etc.)

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2027)

Flying Branch

  • 20 to 24 years (Born between 02 Jan 2003 – 01 Jan 2007)

  • CPL holders: Upper age relaxable up to 26 yearsGround Duty (Technical / Non-Technical)

  • 20 to 26 years (Born between 02 Jan 2001 – 01 Jan 2007)

Salary

  • Flying Officer: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 (Level-10)

  • Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500

  • Flying / Technical / Transport / Risk allowances applicable based on branch & posting

  • Flight Cadets (Training): ₹56,100 per month

Application Fee

  • AFCAT Entry: ₹550 + GST

  • NCC Special Entry: No Fee

Selection Process

1. AFCAT Written Exam

2. AFSB Interview (Stage-I & Stage-II)

  • OIR Test

  • Picture Perception & Discussion Test

  • Psychological Tests

  • Group Tasks & Personal Interview

3. For Flying Branch – CPSS Test

(Once-in-lifetime test)

4. Medical Examination

Final merit is based on written exam + AFSB performance.
